In order to ensure that the surface of plastic plating without defects, no obvious orientation of the organizational structure and internal stress in the design and manufacture of molds should meet the following requirements:
     (1) mold materials do not use beryllium bronze alloy, it is appropriate to use high-quality vacuum cast steel, cavity surface should be polished along the direction of the mirror to mirror brightness, roughness less than 0.2m, the surface is best hard chrome plating.
     (2) plastic surface to accurately reflect the surface of the cavity, so the electroplating plastic mold cavity should be very smooth, cavity surface roughness should be higher than the workpiece surface roughness 1 ~ 2.
     (3) parting surface, welding lines and core mosaic lines can not be designed in the plating surface.
     (4) gate should be designed in the parts of the thickest parts. In order to prevent the melt filling cavity cooling too fast, the gate should be as large as possible (about 1O% larger than ordinary injection mold), the best use of circular cross-section of the gate and runner, runner length should be shorter.
     (5) should be left with vent, so as to avoid the surface of the workpiece air wire, air bubbles and other flaws.
     (6) Select the ejector mechanism should ensure that the smooth demolding parts.
